Water — the source of new life and the emblem of peace, is what we respect and value. However, when immense waves burst through a dam and our homes, questions arise. Suddenly, everything we have worked hard for, our wealth and status, is swept away with the relentless flow of water. Yet, we cannot place the blame on water itself; it is our own mistakes that have led us to this point, surrounded by a devastating flood.

flow, much higher than the usual

I, a person who is curious and has love for exploring, as usual, grabbed my bike and surfed through the city. Though the damage this flood causes was not so severe, it still brought despair and hardships to people, especially those who reside near the river. The heavy flow of water destroyed some dams in places, and pushed through the ground floor of many apartments.

It is hard to imagine one day you woke up during night, only to greet the alarming siren and vast body of water that’s beneath your home. In most apartments, electricity has also been cut as a precaution, in case transmission through the water.

After the flood, as the waters begin to recede and the city starts its recovery process, a sense of unity and solidarity emerges among its residents. Volunteers gather to lend a helping hand, offering shelter, food, and support to those who need. The resilience of the human spirit shines through as people come together, rebuilding their lives and their community.

And, I am confident that we sure can overcome this flooding. But, still it’s better if we don’t repeat the same mistakes. This includes adopting more robust methods of constructing river banks, bridges, and other infrastructure in flood-prone areas.

As I reflect on the challenges we face, I hold onto the hope that tomorrow will bring brighter days. The resilience of humanity and our ability to come together in times of crisis instill optimism within me. Let us seize this opportunity to not only rebuild what has been lost but also to forge a future that is better prepared to withstand such natural disasters.

Through collective effort, improved infrastructure, and a commitment to sustainable practices, we can reduce the vulnerability of our communities to flooding. As we navigate through these trying times, let us remember the power of nature, both destructive and life-giving. By harnessing our knowledge and respect for this vital resource, we can build a safer, more brighter world for ourselves and future.
